North Caldwell is upscale, hilly, and built primarily mid-century onward — large suburban Colonials and split-levels on big lots. Homes designed around proper laundries, with vent runs that match the scale of the house.
The borough is small, hilly, and almost entirely single-family — many homes from the 1950s onward, with significant new construction in the 1990s through 2010s. Lots are larger, homes are larger, and laundry rooms are usually proper rooms rather than retrofits.
That said, larger homes mean longer runs. A 4,000–6,000 sq ft Colonial with a basement laundry will commonly have a 25–35 foot equivalent run to the side wall, especially with the multiple elbows the larger floor plan requires.
The full borough — the streets along Mountain Avenue, Hillside Avenue, the Watchung-area neighborhoods, and all the residential streets up the hill toward the West Essex Trail. Discreet, fully insured service throughout.
