Most homes are done well within the 90-minute window. The drive into the next appointment is built into our schedule, so you won't be rushed.
What's actually happening during that time
- Arrival and walkthrough (5 min). Locate the dryer, the exterior termination, and discuss any symptoms you've been seeing.
- Disconnect and protect (5 min). Pull the dryer out, lay drop cloths, and inspect the transition hose.
- Brush and vacuum the run (25–60 min). The bulk of the work. Rotary brush from one end, HEPA vacuum at the other, alternating ends as needed.
- Service the exterior cap (5–15 min). Clean louvers, check the flap, replace if damaged.
- Airflow test (5 min). Anemometer reading at the exterior cap to confirm restored airflow.
- Reconnect and verify (5 min). Reconnect the dryer, run a brief cycle, confirm proper operation.
- Cleanup and walkthrough (5 min). Photos, your honest readout on what we found, payment, scheduling next visit if you want it.
Things that add time
- Severe neglect. A vent that hasn't been cleaned in 10 years takes longer than one that's two years overdue. Lint that's packed against an elbow under pressure for years doesn't release as quickly.
- Tight access. Stacked closet laundries and stackable washer/dryer setups in newer construction.
- Roof work. Ladder setup, fall protection, weather check.
- Bird nests or rodent damage. Removal, plus a cap replacement so it doesn't happen again.
- Discoveries that need a separate quote. If we find a problem a cleaning can't fix — collapsed flex duct, a crushed run — we stop, document it on camera, walk you through, and quote the next step. That conversation adds time but is the right way to handle it.
Tight on time? Tell us when you book. We can usually schedule a morning slot to leave you the rest of the day, or work around a specific window if you're the only adult home.
